Four years and 5 days ago a funny little girl came to live with our family. Since that day our lives have been filled with interupted sleep, messes, worry, more messes, frusteration, helplessness and yet more messes.
But before you get the wrong idea, neither Gus nor I would change a second of it. Because while being a parent of Grace Elizabeth Hansen has it's challenging moments they all melt away as soon as we look into the big, blue, curious eyes of this beautiful little girl.
More than any challenge this little girl has been a blessing and a joy and I feel like her name explains perfectly what kind of a gift she is to us.

A bit about my baby....
Here's a little summary about our little Gracie:
She loves people and loves to take care of others. She has a very big heart and loves to help people feel better when they are sad.
She can be very silly and loves to make people laugh.
She loves music and loves singing and dancing. She has an incredible imagination and makes up fantastic songs and situations. She's always pretending.
She loves her Heavenly Father and Jesus and loves to learn about them. She loves to pray!
She is a very snuggley little girl. She is always ready with hugs and kisses for all her loved ones. (That includes Molly, our dog, books, pictures, mannequins, and anything else that may tug at her heart.)
She loves anything fast and exciting and anything she can jump on or from. She loves swimming, running, camping, fishing and hanging with her friends.
She desperately looks forward to being a big sister and is well practiced in her big sister voice (a.k.a bossy voice), but she will be a very tender, caring and protective big sister.
She's very good at entertaining herself and can play with ANYTHING. Give her a piece of cardboard and a wisk and she's a happy girl.
She loves preschool and her new primary class and loves to learn new things. She's very quick at grasping new concepts.
She finds joy and excitement in the simplest things and it's so fun to watch her discover new things. She loves to speak "spanish", she's very sure of her bilingual abilities.
She's has a very sweet disposition but somehow at the same time is very stubborn and independent and can really hold her own. She has to do things her way.
We love this little girl more than words could ever express and can't believe it's already been four years since she came to our family.
We love you Gracie!
Here are lots pics of the past four years:
