Banjo's Puppy School graduation. The look on his face seems to be telling us he thinks he's too good for his graduation hat. I say "live it up Banjo, that's the most dressed up you'll ever be."
Yes folks this IS Arizona. These are the parts of Arizona that you rarely hear about. The green, foresty, lush parts. It was soooo beautiful. This was in Alpine, AZ. Elevation aprox. 8000ft.
Grandpa, Gracie, Daddy, Uncle Levi, Kassidy and Bear Dog taking a lovely walk to the pond.
Gracie fishing her little heart out.
Gracie posing and fishing her little heart out.
Campfire grilling. YUM!
What we saw outside our door every morning and evening. Gus was really wishing it was hunting season.
Gus' parents have the awesome calling of being the LDS Girls Camp caretakers for the summer months and we loooove to go visit them. 2years ago we went but weren't so lucky in the weather department as you can see here. But this year was glorious.
Fishing on Luna Lake. It was so beautiful.
Grandpa running the boat and being soooo patient with lines in the motor, potty stops, and lines tangled up with his. Thanks Grandpa
Gracie is super excited to try her brilliant idea of a gummy worm on the hook. So was I....it didn't work so well.
My Big Man Gus, putting his worm on the hook. He made me put a real live worm on the hook too. Poor worm. I was much less manly about it. :)
The highlight of this particular fishing excursion, for me was the incredible bald eagle we saw soaring above us only to, minutes later, swoop down and snatch a fish up with his claws (or to quote Napoleon Dynamite, talons). He made it look so easy!
I was cursing myself for forgetting my camera. I had to settle for the lesser quality of my phone camera.
All in all it was a fantastic Memorial Day weekend.
