Blender Brilliance...

I'm surrounded by brilliant people. As a result I have picked up a couple of things that I think are just genius.

Here is the latest brilliance:

Sassy Mama Smoothie
1 handful of frozen bluberries
3-4 ounces pure pomegranate juice (can substitute other juice)
1 handful raw baby spinach
1 banana
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
protein powder (about 10 gms)
ice to texture

Mix it all up in a blender for some serious antioxidants and taste.
(You can add a little honey if you want, if you like things a little sweeter as I do.:))

And yes, you read right, there is actually spinach in it. However, you can not taste it, smell it, or see it. That is why it's brilliant!
The blueberries completely mask it. So if you have some non-spinach lovers in your house as I do, they will still reap the benefits without even knowing it!

I recently read the book called THE BEAUTY DIET and 3/4 of these ingredients were listed in the book. So talk about some great looking skin too.

And to whom do I owe the credit of this brilliant Smoothie?
Jenn Walton, you are my hero!
Thanks so much for sharing this.

Pure GENIUS!!!

Thanks! I'm going to have to try this. I love smoothies. And if they can help make my skin better.....I'm definitely in.

OOOOHHHH -- that is brilliant!

But I don't know about that flax seed... who knows what that stuff can do :)

I think you know what it can do, Kathy. Don't play innocent with me.

We love smoothies too! One of my faves was: pineapple, kiwi, yogurt, and spinach. It was more of a tropical smoothie--and it's green...so a "shrek shake."

I love the new look of your blog w/ the cherries! Too cute!
