Well... for those of you that were just as horrified as I was that my sweet girl might actually be saying her first (and hopefully last) swear word....it's true. We have decided she is actually saying the B-word and not cheeks as was previously thought. OH HORRORS OF HORRORS!!!!! We have decided she must have heard it slip from daddy's mouth when he was driving. (Those of you that know Gus know he can get a little worked up when he's driving.)
So after Gracie said it to me again the other day I explained to her that we don't use or say words like that, that it's not ok because they aren't nice words. Well she looks at me as innocently as possible, smiles sweetly, puts both fingers on her cheeks and says "cheeks, cheeks mommy" as if to say "you were just hearing me wrong". What a little stinker!
Any suggestions on how to get my 2 year old to stop swearing would be greatly appreciated. :)

Oh my little Gracie...
So Thursday night Gus brought Gracie home her very own Shrek fishing pole! She was soooo excited. We were going to go fishing the next day. She thought it was pretty cool to touch the "bugs" (worms).
So Gracie looked like a natural for the 60 seconds that she actually fished. :) I think daddy was pretty proud.
We had a bit of excitement though with someone's stinkin hyper dog! First it came and jumped all over Gracie, freaking her out, then ran over to Tyson (Tyson and Angie came with us) who was standing by the river and then proceeded to jump all over Tyson knocking him into the icy river. Angie reacted like Wonder Woman and literally threw the big black lab off of her son and kicked the dog to Timbucktoo. It was very impressive. Poor Tyson was soaked to his head. So after we stripped him down and wrapped him in sweaters and after a few donut-holes he was ready to face the world again.
So now we both have the task of helping our kiddos not be afraid of dogs.
Oh...and the dog owner was MIA. Hmmm.... convenient.
It appears that whenever we hang out with the Riches something exciting always happens. (See fire-alarms, bowling allies, fire trucks, etc.) At least we always have something to blog about.

Hahah. This is so funny. I'm worried the same thing will happen with us and the twins... I know it's bound to happen at some point.
I have no idea how to get them to stop...? :)

oh my goodness, that is so funny!! So cute that she knew exactly what word to say she had been saying so to avoid any trouble!
I am totally jealous that you have a new friend with my name, although she sounds pretty rad.
Wow, I feel like a super mom!!! I think it's kind of funny Gracie swears. She has such a sweet face, I totally understand why you really didn't think she was saying that word. She's just too sweet.
I HATE dogs!!! Good luck with Gracie's potty mouth! She's too cute.
We have a similar problem with Kaily. she repeats things Clint does all the time. Nothing like a copycat to remind you of the things you do. =)
I don't know if I have any good advice on how to stop a 2 year old from saying "beach", but if you ever say "oh damn" you can convince them that you said "oh man"...not that I have experience in that :-)
I do have to say that I really needed a good laugh and that did it for me :-) I know it is always funnier when it is someone else's kid. Gracie is so cute!! Can't believe she is 2!
