We went to the Colorado caucus last night. It was sooo packed, it was cool and so very interesting.
Well our precinct was without leaders so the fellow in charge asked who would volunteer to lead. Well Gus stuck up his hand along with another fellow and proceeded to get instructions from the fellow in charge. I was so proud to see him work and organize and conduct the meeting. At one point when there was a question between Gus and the other precinct leader about what to do with the votes and I absolutley knew that Gus had the right answer, not just because I'm biased, but because I know Gus. I know that he listens to and reads all instructions and rarely forgets anything. :) Sure enough Gus was right, but he wasn't arrogant about it, he reacted in such a way that the other fellow wouldn't feel threatend in the least. He's very diplomatic.
So it came to vote for county delegates to represent us and Gus and the other precinct leader won the votes. I'm so jealous and proud. It's going to be so interesting and he's going to do so well representing us. He's pretty excited too.
This kind of turned into a brag session, sorry, I'm just so impressed my hubby. He'll probably be embarrassed to read this. Sorry Gus. :)
Maybe he'll blog about it himself.

I guess I'm not sure what this means but congratulations Gus. What will his requirements be? What all does this entail? Am I stupid for asking this? Should I know???? :)

I went to the caucus and I'm still not exactly sure how it works. All I know is that he is going to help pick the candidates to run for the county positions. I'm sure he does other stuff too, I'm just pretty ignorant to the inner workings of polotics. I think the average person is. :)

oh my gosh, Gus is a delegate?? That is so awesome!! Jon will be jealous when I tell him. I remember you guys had a ton of American History/Government books on your shelf when you lived here so I'm sure Gus is really prepared. Go Gus!!
Delegate? Ya! Now Gus Hansen for President! He's so smart and political.
If not Mitt Romney, maybe Gus?
