Our girls road trip to Utah and more....

Gracie and I took a road trip to Utah so I could go to my 10 year mission reunion! I know, I know, 10 YEARS right!!! Yikes! (technically it was really only 9, but who has a 9 year reunion)
We were so sad that Gus couldn't come with us. He had to stay home and continue to bring home the bacon. We missed him though.

This is how Gracie fell asleep the night before we left. This has nothing to our trip, we just thought it was hilarious! Please take note of the giraffe visor on her head.

We stopped at this really neat rest stop in Wyoming and this is what we saw. A random Abraham Lincoln rock thing. I'm sure there was a perfectly good explanation for why it was there, I just didn't want to spend precious travel time finding out why.

We were so excited to be able to see Courtni, Brett and finally meet Abby, our long lost Aussie friends. It was so lucky that their trip home and our trip there overlapped.

Some of my Hermanitas and our beloved President Mayfeild, and me and my dear Sister Randall!!! (well her name's Sister Brown now)
And sadly I was soooo busy talking and catching up with everyone that these are really the only pictures I got. I saw old companions, District Leaders, and AP's, and just good mission buddies. It was sooo fun. We had a fantastic fireside Friday night and then went up Brighton Canyon the next day for lunch and socializing. Again too fun. It was like taking a step back in time only with kids and spouses.

I drove right by the Capitol on my way back from the fireside so I had to get a picture.

The cute Bruschke's, I wish we could have visited longer.

Susann Jarvis and Wendy Gardner, some friends from California, stopped by. It was so good to see them.

On Saturday evening we went down to my brother Richard's house and got to stay with them for a couple days. Gracie had so much fun with her cousins.

Monday night we went to the Mayan restaurant. Jose is my brothers adopted son from Guatemala. He is the only boy amongst 4, soon to be 5 girls. We had a sneaking suspicion he might be trying to get back there. ;)

Waiting for our food and the cliff diving show.

Gracie was so excited about everything in there.

This is how Gracie flexes her muscles.

Pics in the trees!

We had lots of fun and it was so good to see dear friends and family. It's always nice to come home though especially when there's a handsome husband waiting for you!

You are so brave road trippin' with a toddler! I'm sad I couldn't be there to see you and the other Hermanas. I wasn't brave enough to go road trippin' by myself with the kidlets. Glad you had a blast!

Laurie -- it was SOOO fun to see you guys!! I am so glad that we overlapped our time in Utah. We'll need to do that again...it had been way too long! Glad you had a safe and uneventful return trip.

Looks like a fun trip. That first picture is a riot, there is hardly enough room for her in the bed. LOVE IT! Glad you are safe and sound back at home!
